This is not a silly question mommy to be, it can be confusing figuring out trimesters. We are here to help you in every step of the way. You officially enter your second trimester when you’re in between weeks 13-28 or if you wanted to know in months 4-6 months. The best part is your one more week/month closer to meeting your baby and you shouldn’t have any more morning sickness! Lastly, Your second trimester is great! 

Your anatomy scan is the most important ultrasound you will have with your doctor. They normally will schedule you for an anatomy scan when you are 20 weeks. In the anatomy scan your doctor will do a thorough ultrasound to confirm your baby is developing in a healthy way. Furthermore, this is where they will rule out any abnormalities that can be detected through ultrasound. They will also confirm the gender of your baby during this scan. The ultrasound can take anywhere between 30-45 minutes. It’s a long one so make sure you pack snacks and your water.

5D is another name for 4D HD. It is real time imaging. This modality is used when you want to see your baby’s facial features and first movements. We have seen babies blow kisses to their loved ones, yawn, suck their thumb and so much more. In addition, it is a way for us to unveil your baby’s world to you. The best time to schedule your 5D or 4D HD is when you’re between weeks 26-32.
